Wsparcie rodziny z dzieckiem samokrzywdzącym się i/lub z dzieckiem przejawiającym tendencje samobójcze: analiza teoretyczna

STRESZCZENIE
Zachowania samokrzywdzące i skłonności samobójcze występujące u dzieci i nastolatków stanowią znaczący problem społeczny. W wyraźny sposób zaburzają funkcjonowanie dotkniętych nimi jednostek oraz całych systemów rodzinnych, w których funkcjonują osoby autodestruktywne. Wiedza na temat podejmowania zachowań samokrzywdzących i/lub dotycząca skłonności samobójczych dziecka lub nastolatka może być szczególnie obciążająca dla jego rodziców. W obliczu takich informacji mogą oni doświadczać całego spektrum bolesnych emocji, a – jak wskazują dotychczas zrealizowane badania – zaangażowanie rodziców lub opiekunów jest bardzo ważne dla procesu zdrowienia dziecka. Prezentowany artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie specyfiki zachowań samokrzywdzących oraz skłonności samobójczych w grupach małoletnich. Zawiera też opis metod wsparcia, jakie mogłyby być skuteczne dla rodziców lub opiekunów dzieci doświadczających zachowań autodestruktywnych. W artykule położono nacisk na czynniki niezbędne we wspieraniu rodziców i opiekunów, uwzględniające dbałość o własny stan emocjonalny, konieczność zdobycia rzetelnej wiedzy dotyczącej problemów dziecka, konieczność zabezpieczenia czasu na własne hobby i zainteresowania oraz na spędzanie czasu z dzieckiem na przyjemnych aktywnościach. Wskazano też na znaczenie umiejętności proszenia o pomoc, kiedy jest ona niezbędna oraz na rolę grup wsparcia. Warto podkreślić, iż tekst stanowi teoretyczny punkt wyjścia dla realizacji badań empirycznych dotyczących opisywanego tutaj zakresu.
