BOOK CHAPTER (55-60)
ABSTRACT
Abstract. Urbanization and the quality of life. Searching for the city on
a human scale. Man has always been searching for ways of improving his
urban living conditions. He wonders how life should look like, because
the city is mostly a place where human experiences and ideas become fulfilled and realized. Cities of the Western world express their functionality
in considering the human needs, one of which is democracy. In this case,
it should be reflected in democratization of social life which can not be
reduced to realization the programs of political and architectural ideas.
For this reason, we are dealing with a crisis of the city as a place for living
and implementing a modern man.
