ABSTRACT
The authors point out that new technologies are a source of new challenges for the protection of privacy, which in particular need children who
do not have fully developed awareness about the dangers of new technologies. The responsibility lies with parents/legal guardians, who should be
aware of the dangers, as well as ISPs, administrators, game developers,
creators of websites and public services. On the other hand, indicated on
the new legal solutions which are the harmonization of the EU Member
States’ laws governing the issue of consent by the child in the case of information society services and setting a minimum age limit for a child to
agree to the processing of his/her personal data.
