The article presents the ways of using sport in the upbringing process of socially unadapted teenagers. There are discussed such issues as: types and functions of sport, the changes in the sphere of physical, social and psychological functioning foster child following under the influence of sports activity, the principle of “fair play”, the concept of “pedagogy of sport” and “psychopedagogy of risk” There are presented examples of interesting classes, trainings, competition and sports events used in educational institutions for socially unadapted teenagers.Particular attention should be paid to the education influences in two sports clubs offering boxing and judo trainings, expressed in this article.
