ABSTRACT
With the entry into force of the Act on public-private partnership in
December 2008, new possibilities for realization of joint investment by the
public and private sectors appeared. Public-private partnerships are a form
of joint realization of the investment, on the one hand, the public partner
performs the tasks included in the scope of its activities (meeting the needs
of society), on the other hand, the private partner is established, achieving
a profit. An example of such forms of realization by the government, is
the construction of the Regional Broadband Network Open in the Warmia-Mazury, implemented under the Operational Programme Development
of Eastern Poland. This investment involves the construction of fiber-optic
networks, to facilitate the people of the province and institutions access to
the Internet with good performance. In addition, it is worth noting the
fact that it affects favorably on increasing employment among local entrepreneurs, economic recovery, professional activity, linking the use of funds
from other operational programs and regional development of many areas of social life in local communities. The investment is due to the large area
is a kind of test of cooperation between local and individual levels.
