ABSTRACT
In following paper the possibility of using a new generation hovercraft
to patrol inland water borders of Poland was presented. Moreover
a variety of equipment versions according to the needs of a particular
user were shown. Hovercrafts are used by the Maritime Regional Unit
of Border
Guard (MRUBG) to patrol water border with Russia on the
Vistula Lagoon.
Hovercrafts that are maintenance by MRUBG are expen236
sive and due to their dimensions are not suitable to perform a particular
tasks on inland waters. In according to results of analysis and conceptual
work a use of a new generation hovercraft to patrol inland water state borders
was proposed. Moreover a start of research and development work on
hovercrafts in according to requirements of the Border Guard and other
Ministry of Internal Affairs institutional users was proposed.
