In the second half of the twentieth century, multiculturalism was seen as a remedy for xenophobia, intolerance and stereotypes, which in the past led to open international conflicts. Multicultural education was prepared society for the coexistence of groups and individuals from different cultural backgrounds. At the end of the first decade of the twenty – first century, announced the end of the project of multiculturalism, which has not granted hopes placed upon it, mainly by politicians. It turned out that this is not the origin and culture but level of prosperity and a sense of security led to polarization of human society that nobody wants to be politically correct, when a stranger living in his country may be a potential terrorist or only aspirant to participate in the distribution of wealth. Remained the hope that this situation can repair multicultural education.
