ABSTRACT
The article addresses problems associated with depopulation of Polish cities and
accompanying suburbanization that constitute serious challenge for regional policy.
This problem has an increasing scope, which is why there are different concepts that
in the assumption shall halt or slow down the process of certain areas depopulation.
They derive essentially from previously formulated ideas, but focusing primarily
on stimulating growth and development of regions. The aim of this publication is,
using secondary data, analysis how elementary measurement of so-called region
creative expansiveness, affect two variables – standard of living of its inhabitants and
migration processes taking place in it.
